Labiaplasty is a procedure that involves modifying the labia minora (inner lips), and/or the labia majora (outer lips). Sometimes, it includes clitoral hood reduction (trim excess skin around the clitoral area)
Labial excess or deformity may occur due to childbirth, trauma, hormonal changes, weight changes, or may be due to genetic and anatomical variations. This can cause discomfort when wearing tight clothes, during physical activities and intercourse. It can also cause emotional stress and decrease self-confidence.
At Revive Gynecology & Cosmetics in Cherry Hill, NJ, we are specialized on all types of Labiaplasty with or without Clitoral Hood reduction.

Labiaplasty is usually done under local anesthesia but you may elect to do it under general anesthesia at the surgery center.
Labiaplasty is an outpatient procedure. You will be able to go home the same day. You may experience some light vaginal bleeding or pain. You will get pain prescriptions to help you the first few days. All stitches are dissolvable and do not need to be removed in the office. Any swelling usually resolve within two weeks. Scars are minor and hard to notice once you are completely healed.
Most patients return to work few days after the surgery and can resume normal activities in 1 to 2 weeks. You can resume physical exercise by 4 weeks, and sexual activity by 6 weeks.
You should not lose sensation after the surgery. The clitoris is not involved in the surgery.
Labiaplasty is a work of art that is modified according to the patient 's anatomy and needs. Small defects can be addressed at the office with low cost. Bilateral labiaplasty requiring more extensive reconstruction is usually done at the surgical center.
The cost of labiaplasty surgery ranges from $3500 - $7000 depending on the type of labiaplasty, the type of anesthesia needed, and whether it involves clitoral hood reduction, or posterior commissure repair. Dr. Elshoreya will discuss with you what is needed to be done to achieve your goals and will give you a more accurate estimate at your initial consultation.
Since cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, we partnered with Care Credit to help you finance your surgery and pay on your own pace. No interest fee if you pay it over 6 months.
Complications are infrequent, but can include:
